Effective July 7, 2026
So You Think You Might Die Someday (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a small app that lets you catalogue sentimental belongings and, if you die someday, have them delivered by email to people you choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We kept it plain.
We use your information solely to run the app: to store your catalogue, keep you logged in, and — when a countdown you (or an authorized person) start completes — email your items to the recipients you chose. We also email you (and your trusted approver, if you set one) to confirm, remind, and let you cancel a countdown.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
A recipient’s email address is used only to deliver the items you left them. Recipients receive an email only if a countdown completes — never before, and never for marketing.
We use trusted service providers to run the app:
Your data is stored on their secure servers and is governed by their privacy practices in addition to this policy.
Access is restricted so that only you can see and change your own items and recipients. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can edit or delete individual items at any time inside the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us and we’ll take care of it.
The app is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top. Continued use of the app means you accept the current version.
